I really enjoyed this book because it was angsty, sexy, romantic, and heartbreaking. I wanted to smack Joss a couple of times because he was being so forceful and possessive. All Clelia wanted was his love but he was going out of his way to kill that love. It was obvious that he loved her but Joss didn't say it until the very end. Also, forcing her to marry him against her will was a big NO. He made up for it though.

There is just something very magical about the way Charmaine Pauls writes. I can't explain it. Her writing always manages to tug at my heartstrings. I really adore Joss and Clelia's relationship. It's very complicated but there is a strong bond/connection between the two. The paranormal aspect is a bit strange but the ROMANCE is at the forefront so I'm glad for that.

I am very intrigued by the story so far and I’m always down for a Charmaine Pauls book. There is just something about her writing that I love! Joss and Clelia are both interesting characters and they have a past together. He is four years older but there is a connection between the two. I was surprised by what happened between them when he got drunk. Wowzers.

There are 9 books in the series. Each book reads as a standalone, but there is also a series arc, so at the end of this book there will be unanswered questions.
