Okay, that little coffee reveal made me tear up. Fuck that was just - ugh, my heart.

I understand the abandonment struggles that Blaire has. I have them as well (triggered by a whole different situation) and I tend to do things just like her. I often don't open up to people, in general, to avoid getting attached in the first place.
All this to say that I can identify with Blaire something fierce.

Oh Donnie - I adore you for being so protective there.

The situation with her father is a very real and unfortunate tragedy that does happen. It's not just some trope or cliche. It's very real. And while I don't agree with what he did, as it created trauma for Blaire, him leaving actually saved her from having to deal with his spiral. She was better off with her grandmother in the long run.

That letter reopened the hurt, the grief.
People pushing her to read it without asking her how she really felt about it, or comforting her etc - is not helping her.
Would opening the letter and reading it help her? Maybe, maybe not. But no one should pressure her into doing so before she is ready to know for sure herself.

This section is perfect.
It shows her grief and her spiraling. This is where she needs someone to be patient with her, to be there for her, and not boggle her down with questions.
