I’m enjoying it so far. I find the phenomenon of self sabotage “akrasia” to be insightful.

If you are diligently pursuing a life of purpose and self-discipline, you're going to attract naysayers and critics who are threatened by you. Ignore them. They are telling you something about themselves, not something about you.

Ethical hedonism is doing what you can to maximize happiness and joy, all the while knowing that pain & suffering exist. You can accept those, too, when they occur beyond your control. Self-discipline is the commitment to knowing something is unpleasant, and pushing on anyway. Too many people see hard work and struggle as a sign that they are on the wrong path, when it’s actually proof they are on the right path!

Ch. 2 - Nietzsche and the Will to Power.
"The will to power is understood as an all-encompassing fuel for life itself, something like the engine in a car, or ink in a printer—it represents pure potential that can be channeled into many different ends, good or bad."
