So, this is the third time I've read this one and about halfway through I came to a conclusion: I can't stand Haven or girls like her.

She's in trouble, the guys with the experience for solving said trouble tell her to stay safe and let them do their JOBS and she ignores them and gets in more trouble. She convinces them to include her even though she is a HUGE liability. I can't stand that

Yep, not a surprise that's she's all horny for the hero. This book is pretty tropey after all. 🙄

Oh yay, next to self-loathing, I also adore negative motivation.

I'll give this book a little longer but it's not off to a good start.

Why, in the description of what the heroine looks like, do we need self-loathing about the size of her butt? How is this helpful to the book other than to perpetuate false beauty standards and toxic body issues/shame!?

Authors, do better!

Yes, women (and men and non-binary folks) have self-image issues often... but we have LOTs of things that can go on that aren't pertinent to a story. Don't include toxic crap!
