Ben’s eyes are like pools of rich dark coffee with a promise to wake me up. A promise to let me feel again. He’s also the kind of addiction I can’t allow myself to need. I refuse to break the promises I once made with myself. I’ve come too far for that.
Friends, we can be friends, though, right? Can’t we?
I know one thing though. I didn’t see Ben coming, and he certainly isn’t part of my plan.
