Each story is very unique. Some easily forgotten but the ones that stick out are remarkable

I just finished Alastair Reynolds' novella "Permafrost", which falls halfway through the length of this collection - Reynolds' stories don't always elicit such an emotional response from me as this one did, despite me as a reader not always being capable of keeping events in time-travel stories straight and ordered in my head.
Worth the price of admission alone in my opinion.
