He’d wanted his Army career and for her to follow him, to be his wife and raise his children. She’d been in college, working on her journalism degree. He’d been about to ship out to Fort Bragg for his training in Special Forces.

Bought good beer, the kind that comes in a bottle. Limes are sliced. You tempted? And with those last two words, Lawson felt his world tilt back into place. He’d been seeing Jill for almost four weeks now, and her humor, sexiness, and plain old niceness had gotten to him like no other woman ever had. Law texted back. I’ve been tempted since I met you.

So far this book is one boring, long, depressing info dumps about Roxana's family/life. Been trying to get into it for weeks but I can't get interested.

Levi ~ 3 overly descriptive stars

Three hours to find out what she’s doing, what she wants, and what she needs. He hadn’t planned on sleeping with her but couldn’t deny that she’d not only rocked his body but rocked his world… and he didn’t want to let her go. How can someone fall so hard so fast?

Desire in D C. 2.5 stars.

“I do like him. But I hate to have to tell you this, but you’re wrong. After only knowing him for a week before I left for Greece, I wouldn’t dare assume I’d even have the power to break his heart.” Peter’s friend laughed. “Oh, sweetie. Trust me. You do. You definitely do.”

May have to skim this Desire in DC story. Characters are judgmental and obnoxious so far and political banter in so boring to me in romances.

It wasn’t just her mind he was falling for. He was still a man, after all, and she had a killer body that no red-blooded male would be able to ignore.

Night owl 3.25 stars

“I’m crazy about you, Jenna O’Donnell. Seeing you at the roadhouse has always been the highlight of my week. Would you believe I rarely drank before moving to Tamarack? I didn’t even like beer that much. But it gave me an excuse to see you, so I learned to like it. Now I love it. I even like this weird-ass drink called Jack-in-the-Box. But I think it’s because it will always make me think of you.”

“So you’re saying I’m right.” “I’m saying it’s scary how right you are.” “Are you afraid of me, Brad?” He held her gaze and answered her truthfully, for maybe the first time ever. “Terrified.” Her slow smile only scared him more. “Okay, then. Yes. I’ll give you a ride. I just need to grab my things.”

Jenna turned to see Brad, leaning back in his seat, relaxed and laughing. Damn, he was beautiful. “You really need to make a move, Jenna.” She turned back to Isabel. “Oh, hell no. If he hasn’t figured it out by now, he’s an idiot, and if he has, and I make a move…then I’m the idiot.”

The Rookie 3.5 stars

After a quick shower, Tara put on her lucky suit, pulling her hair into a twist and slipping into her favorite black heels. “You’ve got this,” she told her reflection. “After today, this will all be history.” She didn’t see the man behind her until it was too late to scream.

“Xander is a great guy, but he’s not without ghosts. Do yourself a favor.” Isabella’s smile grew kind. “If you like him as much as your face says you do, don’t let him hide from you. Because if he likes you as much as his face says he does, he’s going to try.”

“Post-traumatic stress is no joke,” Xander said, his gaze dropping to the scar on his forearm. An unexpected warmth moved through her chest as she realized he wasn’t just being a stand-up guy. He actually understood. And somehow, that made feeling vulnerable in front of him so much easier.
