good so far. but i'm getting frustrated with the third book tragedies for the protagonists in these series. Sometimes it is ok to not punch the protagonist n the face. This is a pattern in the Sovereign-verse books I damn well want broken for the Monster's Mercy series. I was hoping it would skip this series, but was just disabused of that hope.
