Status Updates From Variations on the Body

I’ve just began & the translators note in this book has tickled my brain. Ugh yes.

Cuentos sobre la soledad y las maniobras que inventamos para evitarla o enfrentarla. En todos ellos la mujer es la protagonista y existe en un transfondo social muy particular; el de la Bogotá que sufrió los “carros bomba” y que más adelante recibiría a quienes dejaron las armas aun en contra de las clases sociales “de bien”. Me gustó mucho Salvación de señoritas y Azares del cuerpo.

probably it's my fault, not the book's, but I feel like there's something missing, something I might not be getting, in every story. unsure if rereading them would help or not
