Rereading the trash of my youth 😂 I was ridiculously obsessed with this series from age 14-15

Other note: Kiran is the worst Billings Girl because she acted so superior when she was not and she was the harshest. Noelle and Taylor are the best Billings Girls. Taylor is definitely the most normal of the group.

My rating stays the same with 4 stars because Thomas and Reed’s relationship really dragged this book down. Thomas is one of the worst characters in this series. There was nothing redeeming about him. Reed was also pathetic toward the end of the book by trying to call the Billings Girls after they shunned her. I understand why she wants to be one of them but have some dignity at least.

“Ariana’s flame finally held still and she came into sharp focus. My breath caught. As she looked through me, I saw through her. And all I saw was blackness.” Throughout this book there’s definitely been foreshadowing about Ariana as she always knew what was happening with Thomas. Knowing what I know though, I wish we got more hints throughout this series about their relationship.

Reed said she would stand strong and not forgive Thomas and literally the next day he comes back saying he needs help. That’s all it took and everything he did was forgotten by Reed. It’s a realistic depiction of an abusive relationship but it’s so hard to read about. Reed doesn’t even give her mom the same courtesy.

“We’re pretty screwed up, huh?”
“We make a pretty good pair,” I said.
Thomas and Reed’s relationship is painful to read about. He is such a red flag 😩
