I really thought this was gonna be a lot of obscene gore and violence, and it’s not not that…

But it’s so good!! It’s just this really compelling tragedy and I wasn’t expecting to care about the characters as much I do.

I can't believe I'm only 35% through this book. I wonder what happens in the rest. I know the author was inspired by The Long Walk (wild) so I know how it could end, but I wonder what else happens here to spur a genre into motion.
