Engaging and easy-reading storyline so far.

starts with a fairly standard dysto-SF premise (US under Soviet occupation + only a Korean War vet dairy farmer can fly the resistance movement's secret super-spaceplane) but goes some really weird places with it: spends most of the page count exploring the infighting and incompetence among both resistance and occupation forces + our hero learning yoga and Zen meditation from another resistance member

bought a bunch of old cheap science fiction novels from a guy selling them from an apartment in another Copenhagen suburb than I live in a while back, most curious about the C. M. Kornbluth titles so I have promptly started reading one of those
