I’m making my way through Don’t Bargain with the Devil right now, but I’ll admit—it’s dragging for me more than the other books in this series. The premise has promise (illusionists, scandal, danger 👀), but the pacing feels a little slow and I’m waiting for the spark to hit. Hoping the romance makes up for it in the second half.
