Status Updates From Kamala's Way: An American Life

When I found this book, I thought it was going to be about her life and she became who she was. However, I quickly learned this book was not the case. Although it talks about her life, it’s from a broad perspective with other interesting historical facts that show a timeline of her political career and those decisions and people she meant to get to where she is.

I had no idea of her previous work with and protecting children. It’s so refreshing to see with everything going on

Things we know- men are gross

Reading this for some backstory and, wow. 3 Chapters in and it is so easy to forget that certain times were so not long ago. I don’t classify Kamala as old at all, so her recalling going to protests in a stroller is so mind blowing. Seeing these changes to the world in real time is unimaginable to my generation. I can’t imagine the frustration seeing it go in reverse now after coming so far.
