Status Updates From Jupiter's Legacy, Vol. 3

Notes:
(1) There's a lot of "Nineteen Eighty-Four" here, in terms of using language as propaganda.
- The difference between superheroes and supervillains depends on who's in power to define the nomenclature.
- The idea being that you're not breaking the law if you are the law.
(2) It's weird to think of 2022 as the dystopian future.
- Though, I guess COVID was still around.

Notes:
(1) I wonder if it's a subtle commentary on DC Comics that the heroes' base of operation's moved from New York to Southern California?
(2) Reordering the books was entirely the right call.
- You feel a lot more for these characters having spent time with them.
(3) I wonder where Blue Bolt is? He's not even been mentioned.
- Though I suspect it's his rod Hutch wields.

Notes:
(1) Two issues in and I can see why they decided to reorder the series chronologically.
- Reading these young protagonists, I'm always thinking, "I know your parents."
- We see that Brandon and Chloe suffer the same inferiority complex as Sheldon's first wife.
(2) The whole thing feels awfully Shakespearean.
- A bit of "Romeo and Juliet," a bit of "Richard III," etc.

Notes:
(1) With this being the first book in publication order, I'll finally get a sense of whether the new Netflix reading order works or not.
- There had to be some reason they decided to make the change, so hopefully that'll become apparent.
(2) Frank Quitely's art's going to take some getting used to. So far, I've only seen this universe in a throwback Silver Age style.
