M. Regan’s retelling of Rapunzel as a horror story is fabulous.

“Six Rusalki” by N.A. Sulway is a gorgeous blend of various fairy tales and Russian folklore. It’s a powerful representation of female rage, as exiled sisters come together for revenge.

The penultimate story in this collection is reimagined fairytale combining The Little Red Riding Hood and Sleeping Beauty as science fiction. It's fang-tastic.

This collection is unusual, and wonderful and thought-provoking all at once. I'm impressed at the modern reimaginings of traditional fairytales in new genres like "cyberpunk" and "slipstream". It's marvellous.

This collection is really something. Great. It's really great. I re-read Evan Dickens short story to my partner because I liked it that much. It's a beauty (and hilarious too).

This collection is pretty special. Aside from its gorgeous cover, the stories are fresh and exciting and thought-provoking retellings of familiar (and some new) fairytales and folktales. Really glad I picked this one up!

I never thought I'd see a sci-fi reimagining of Tom Thumb, but this collection has it and it was fantastic.

The first two short stories ("Six Rusalki" and "The Waters At The End of the Worlds") were interesting, particularly as I hadn't read the originals they were based on, or read anything by those authors before. I'm reading them during work breaks too which is a nice way to break up the day.

WOW this started out strong - I honestly can't imagine any story surpassing the first, the Pied Piper/Rusalka/Fantasy mix-up 'Six Rusalki' by NA Sulway. *chef's kiss* PERFECTION
