Status Updates From A Dance with the Fae Prince...

Bought this audiobook bcos it was dramatised, not realising it was technically book 2 but also a standalone and is non returnable (hate when that happens) so here we go x

This book is boring, however, the action sequences are interesting and well thought out.

I'm scared to continue with this series, as the next books are about the fantasy creatures that I have purposefully been avoiding in the past.

Basically Vampire, Wolf and Siren. Should be fun then.

Off-topic, but I just realised that I've got my yearly review on my phone too, on this app, therefore I will be following my current TBR, as it was, until I receive my new charger. :)

A fact about me, is that at one point, I began to ignore books written about vampires, werewolves & mer-creatures. So, to help myself ignore those books, (in the past years) I have marked the first books of the series as 'read'. I have, however, changed my mind, due to fomo & popular demand. So one of these days, I'll have to check that list of earlier books (oops).

Strongly predicting 3-stars. The beginning was tricky, meaning it started off well, then midway through it came off as a bit mundane. The explanations of love and everything were like other books, I can see some originality in the plot, however, the side characters like Shaye and Hol weren't developed enough for a higher rating. (Was initially gonna rate it 4).

3 per se isn't bad. But it's not winning awards either.
