I'm a chapter or so in and reading the introduction of
the new Lady Wyatt, and then casually read the blurb of the novel. And now I feel like I know three-quarters of the story already. That maid had better be dead on the floor by the end of the next chapter or I'm not going to bother. How hard is it to leave a little mystery in a mystery book?

frank and lady wyatt are arrested, everyone is headed to the bow street offices to testify, and page even told mr. pierce to be proud of his daughter .... yet he can't be. he insults her heavily before leaving her home in a rush. disgusting.

a dead end on who dun it ... with only 50 pages left this is NOT a good sign

what an intense night with Edie and her husband - they gained an insane inheritance ... and page has just started to question them about the murder, of which they knew nothing, because they believed frank (who called it an accident)

the big scary man with the envelope is edie's new husband, obviously a suspect since he may have killed for inheritance.
wilkes would've been the only person who could've let the husband into the home to kill sir charles -- AND EVERYTHING IS WRONG AND IM FREAKING OUTTTTT
