I’m a bit surprised I was expecting this book to go in a different direction but Im not mad at the points being made. The author points out that body positivity isn’t the answer to a system that is structurally violent towards fat bodies.

Unless and until there is a reckoning with the conceptual, an evaluation of just how un/impractical this violence is, love of self will never be the answer to oppression nor will it be guaranteed.” picking up what you putting down
