So far, the mc is irritatingly stupid at times. She literally just almost killed herself rather than handling a situation in a decisive and vastly more intelligent way.

The het male gaze is strong in this one.

The first three trials are painfully linear but now we've reached a hub with other characters and maybe Emma can have some agency. Is the blue haired girl the one she flirted with at the con? I want to ship them.

Some aspects of the world are a little complex, but after reading „the good guys“ series I really enjoy having a smart protagonist 😅
