Story is picking up after the halfway point! Separating this into two books would've been awful for the flow of things.

Disappointed that someone remains alive. I would've found it unique if they had stayed dead. Or not been fueled by vendetta.

Conflicted. I'm very engaged in the story despite not particularly liking any of the main characters yet. Tyvian is arrogant and a dick, and Artus is just stupid. Both the latter and Hool are a bit too obvious plot devices to explain how the world works. It's very well-written so far though otherwise.

What a page turner...

Loving this so far and will return to it real soon.
