Status Updates From 50 Below Zero

So the mom was present in the house,

Jason has tied up his father so that he will not "sleep walk" anymore and so he goes to bed.

The mom then hears a sounds and goes downstairs to see what was going on only to have found Jason now "sleep walking"

Honestly they should schedule a family doc appt because this sounds like a problem that may be genetic.

So Jason has now found his dad outside against a tree in -50 and when he called his name, he would not respond.

I was like did this kid just find the body of his dead father?

After finding him, he drags him back home and sets him in a tub of hot water.

This is a lot for a kid to handle. Where are the other adults in his life? Obviously the father has some neurological issues and needs to be supervised.

Oksy I have never read this book but from the cover I was expecting maybe the MC would end up walking outside when it was -50 and trying to find their way back.

I mean now that I am typing it out, it does feels more like the plot of an adult survival movie like 127 Hours.

What I wasn't expecting is a kid waking up multiple times a night to find their father asleep in different parts of the house.
