This book was infuriating, scary, wonderful, and tragic. It made my stomach sink and my hopes rise . It was everything that real life is: raw and brutal . Any moral person will not root for this man. And any hopeless romantic want but knows too... but can’t..the pain that #327 is going to go through: physically emotionally she will never be the same again and that hurts . I hurt for her this whole book through.

Excerpt: Breaker
I exhale. The force of my pent-up breath blows the hair to her face, and it gets caught on her lips. The same lips, who despite the atrocities, said nothing to anyone. She could have destroyed me if she wanted to. Arrested or killed, it was her choice, and yet she chose silence.
Why?
Because she saw past a mafia boss and knew I was a good man?
Bull shit. That's not me.
