I like the characters and the do-over but it is very repetitive. Every thought and story is described at least twice. 1st as a inner monologue, 2nd as a discussion. And why not repeat the inner monologue again?
And, novel idea, you can first let Brandon think about something, then let Brandon tell Travis about it and at last let Travis think back about the story Brandon told him.
