JUST LIKE SARAH PALMER

Girlie is so oblivious and I don’t blame her at all. The romance novels have been such a delight to read about though. It’s such a meta joke to me.

The pride and prejudice joke just absolutely destroyed me. I am in stitches as they say

That thought had never even occurred to me. I’ve been underestimating Athelas.

THAT’S MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT VAMPIRE

Ohhh Morgana’s first cop was the friend whose dead body they tried to frame the detective for. Was I supposed to have already put that together? Lol

So was Morgana and her parents’ death related to the purge of heirlings? Which apparently took place in the 20s? Interesting how Pet’s great grandmother’s license was also from the 20s…👀

Okay so we finally have confirmation. I was lowkey wondering if she was something else just because of how strongly this had been hinted lol

RETURN OF THE TIE FROG

Oh gosh the vampire is reading romance novels someone save us

I have A Thought. Will not be sharing since I’m always wrong but be well aware: I have Thoughts.

Ohhhh.

Her great grandmother’s name?? How far back does the weirdness go?

He’s admitted they’re friends. And that he actually has things to apologize for. The cranky vampire is experiencing character development and I’m happy for him. Funny how it took a sword through the chest to get here though.

So was he so weird in the last book because he didn’t know how to make Pet stop being mad at him without having to explain everything to her? Poor guy. Interesting how Zero put him in a position where he’d have to actually choose if he wanted to be friends with Pet.

JinYeong wasn’t upset with Zero for ratting him out, he was upset because Zero made it look like he had been in control of everything and now if JinYeong wanted Pet to know the truth he’d actually have to admit it to her. I knew something like that was up. Makes sense.

Also should I be reading the short stories in chronological order? Yes. Am I going to? No. No one can make me.

Oh. Ohhhhh. Okay. I’m still convinced that was a purposefully planted red herring though. I mean come on.

Hey! He did the thing!! He did the thing where he pulls the sword already stuck through him further through him to get closer to the guy currently stabbing him!! For some reason that’s such an iconic thing to me even if it is gross.

Pet is so oblivious of JinYeong's hints that he likes her.🤣

Athelas suggesting that JinYeong read Pride and Prejudice! 🤣🤣

I'm gonna be so mad if JinYeong and Pet don't end up together. He is bettering himself and listening to her and caring for her and they aren't even in a romantic relationship yet. 😋

“Don’t let the vampire into your bedroom,” Zero said, cold and warning. “In fact, no other men in your bedroom, either.”
“First of all, dad—”
“Don’t call me that!”

Face it Zero! She sees you like a father or big brother! Stop being jealous and annoying!

I threw the closest cushion at Zero, hitting him square in the back of the
head, and he turned around to stare at me. “That’s my emotional support vampire!” I said crankily. “Put him
down!”
“Pet—”
“I was asleep!” I snarled. “And I was warm! Now I have carpet burn
and I’m awake!”

I'm shipping JinYeong and Pet so hard.😭😭

“You are chattel with a longer than usual life,” said Zero’s father, with ice-blue anger. “You should remember your place.”
“I choose my own place,” said JinYeong, his gaze roaming over the crowd around us and finally resting on me once more. “And I choose who I will stand beside.”

JinYeong reading romance novels!😆

"I followed you because
we had become—become allies and I wanted to. I stayed with you because
I trust you at my back in the fight.”
😉I see you JinYeong 😋
