For a rational guy, Pinker is subject to some cultish thinking. One chapter in and he's already used the term "mansplaining" twice, and referred to "COVID-19" as a "lethal pandemic."

And his explanation of the Monty Hall problem makes no sense. I fail to see how the door he opens is any kind of clue. As Pinker acknowledges, the car doesn't move, so the chances are 50/50. The mathematicians were right.
