Why did he decide to write this as a conversation (monologue, really, since the other person has only said two words in between his 23 PARAGRAPHS of dialogue) instead of just a retelling of events to the reader? That detail changes the tone of what's being said and it's throwing me completely out of the story because no one talks like this!!!
