Status Updates From Ronald Reagan – elämäkerta

For a book dedicated to the history of one person it was surprisingly devoid of substance in regards to that person.

The definite statement 'Reagan was not a racist, there is no doubt about that' -- my translation -- is a bold statement to make on its own, but especially when the following section outlines all the ways he either opposed or undermined civil rights legislature, and that black voters were not enthusiastic about him or his policies.

Reading this is incredibly frustrating; it's rather fractured in how it tells history and expects the reader to have a somewhat wide understanding of American politics and the people involved in it, from early 1900s to at least 1990s. Not really a problem for me but so many times the author deviates from the topic even if just for a paragraph and it's unclear how, or even if, that section is relevant to the topic.
