Seeing as this book was translated I think I'm running into some pacing and tone issues. It's definitely gotten easier to read as I move on. Margaret Atwood basically spoiled the entire book in the introduction so if you're gonna read it I recommend skipping the parts where she talks about what goes on in the book. The rest of her intro is wholly interesting and gives good historical context. I'm excited to keep goin

this book seemed right up my alley and I LOVEEEED it at the start but I am literally suffering and reading each page at least 2-4 times and not even in a fun way. it’s stopped me from reading at all and I think I need to give up but I don’t want to.
