Status Updates From A Solovyov Anthology

Sort of paused this book for a moment. I don't know if it's the progression of his thought through the years or just varying quality in the translation, but some parts are thought provoking, profound, breath-taking in their depth and originality. Others seem ignorant and juvenile. There are some references to Islam early on that make me wonder if he's ever studied it, but he is more nuanced with Advaita Vedanta.

Solovyov is proving every bit as profound and eccentric as his reputation, but his eccentricity proves much less important than his depth on other points.
