The book went from law librarian single mom to magical supernatural with whiplash speed. It took me awhile to catch up. Like the author buried the lead a little bit— Miri had been hiding her magic for years trying her best to live a “normal” life but I feel like her absolute rejection of the supernatural world was foolish considering the risks she encounters in this story. Just makes her look foolish.

Growing on me. FMC refers to the full moon as the wolf shifters time-of-the-month, which I’m finding pretty funny.

Finally got around to buying Throwing Shade and got the 3 pack. OMG awesome-sauce! I’m a slow azz ADHD /ADD reader, but already almost halfway thru the first book.

Wife keeps asking me if I’m really reading or watching stupid cat vids because I keep laughing.
