There's a prion disease that's basically rabies but worse and spreads through dogs, and now people, too. And tell me why the main character got a dog and it's a wild mut from the pound.

I did not quite enjoy the MC Logan much. I disliked the dynamic with the step father and how he is. However, I did enjoy the dynamic with Westerly and Jasmine. It was a very sweet bond between the two.
