Isaiah 59:1-2
[1] Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,
or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
[2] but your iniquities have made a separation
between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear.

Need this reminder this morning:
“God is a God of great providence-providing for His world. God is always watching and working in the world. He is attentive to everything that happens in your life. He is not sitting around bored or uninterested. He is always paying attention. He is always working all things to serve His great purposes. He is working out all His plans for His glory and the good of His children.”

Talking about Old Testament sacrifices…”Sacrifices were a temporary covering for sin. They did not take away a person’s sin, but the death of an animal sacrifice made a way for sinners to have a relationship with a holy God.”

Referencing the story of Cain and Abel, the author says, “The only way to rule sin is to be ruled by something greater. That something greater is someone - God. To turn away from sin, a person must turn to God.”

Starting another kids bible we have. I believe we got it at a conference and this one doesn’t define what age it is aimed at but I would guess ages 8-12. I’m excited to read about the Old Testament with this book. I read a chapter and then pray the acts model and then read my other quiet time stuff, right now it’s John!
