Haven’t been happier to see the end of a book since The Duke.

Nasty. Gross. I hate this book so much.

Book is stressing me out. Clearly not enjoying this psycho thriller.

Lolol. This Cameron affair is funny I can’t lie.

Okay so these two are messy. Not to minimize the madness of actually controlling someone, but MC wasn’t a good partner either. Hmm.

A third in. The main thesis has been explained but the story hasn’t progressed. However, because the thesis isn’t boring, this lack of progression isn’t necessarily bad. I do want to know what the second third will be about. I’m hoping for more movement in plot beyond stepford wife.

Hmm. This is a bit messy. I’m sympathetic to Daphne’s reaction to her partner representing a child molester given her own experiences. But not sympathetic enough to understand controlling your partner’s body. This isn’t even mind control. I don’t know. I’m really thinking about this. I guess it’s great that I’m reading a book that has me thinking not just experiencing the book.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Haven’t read a psycho thriller in years.

This is intriguing.

The romance really put me off, I don’t like that Cameron and Hazel ended up together after she got in as a “third person”. I don’t know, maybe I’m too messed up from all the dark shit I’ve read.

“The judge goes to chambers and I take a moment to get some air. I hate cross-examining children; it makes me sick. I think it’s Daphne’s doing, but I have no way of proving it. Olivia is probably being cradled in her mother’s arms right now, with words of encouragement being whispered in her ear.”

She makes me sick! She’s such a bitch (and with kids!!), i’m somehow pitying Daph more than Haze

This book made me very uncomfortable. I will NOT be reading this again.
