Thank you in Mandarin is xie xie ni, not shi shi ni! Simple Googling will tell you this!
You can only order a whole Peking duck or a thigh or quarter...it's not a per person portion type of food so no ordering Peking duck times three unless you are feeding a clan with three whole ducks?!
Singapore is a tropical country...so no orange trees! OMG this is such a farce!

Robert "Yee" or " Ee" would have been more credible than "Yi"...where did the author get all these Asian names?
And this is the 3rd time she said "Orchid " Road...it's ORCHARD Road! Orchid is the national flower! If she could get Bugis Street right it means she's not faking street names!

Just as "Cheung" is a more common name in Hong
Kong and not Singapore (Chong would be the equivalent in SG), Xang is not even a Chinese word! It's impossible to pronounce Xang in Chinese...Googled and it's a place in Vietnam so Indochinese it should be, not Shanghai. This book is really getting on my nerves, why did the author and editor not get an Asian ir Chinese to read the book first?

Oh man...since when do we have homeless kids pickpocketing?! This is Singapore in 2010? Surely not?! Did the author do her homework? I think she based her research on some 1970s travel guide of SG! We never call our money "Sing"! "Singlish" is our local pidgin,a mix of English, Chinese and Malay or Tamil...never used to describe how someone looks!

"Orchid Road" has been mentioned twice, I'm pretty sure the author meant Orchard Road.

all they ever say is"you don't even like me. we shouldn't do this. we're wrong for each other" and then crash into sex. these two annoy me

Good chemistry, but I'm not happy at how Madeline and Luke seem to dislike each other although they are attracted to each other.
