I’m enjoying this. While their connection doesn’t feel romantic so much as it feels compatible, it’s frankly a plausible reason to have a fling while stuck together nosing around high society machinations, especially in a time when they’d have to keep any queerness hidden. Curious to see how the relationship element develops by the end.
