In love with the plot so far; very intriguing. The historical nature of this novel adds another layer of greatness!

very interesting plot; I like the characters already and being so close to home I feel a special connection to the story and the setting. It is kind of hard to understand the Gullah dialogue from Nana Jean but I work through it. My grandmother's name is Barbra Jean and I am named after her so I also feel a special connection to Nana Jean :)
