Status Updates From Elder Race (Elder Race #1)

Often i find myself complaining in books with multiple POVs that the character voices blend together. Here, lyn and nyr hace such distinct voices that you cannot mix them up.
Another interesting point: if this book was only through Lyn's POV i would have found the wizard/scientist extremely unbearable and a walking cliche but instead here the culture/language gap conveys (or doesnt convey) so much!

the two POVs are really fun. I wasn't expecting it to be sad, but i appreciate the emotional aspect of it very much

got sidetracked with le guin but i'm back to this. i have really missed reading tchaikovsky

i think i wanna pick this one up again. in a very scifi reading mood rn but don't know what to read. adrian tchaikovsky is usually a safe bet but idk if i wanna pick up his chonky books rn. the other option would be more le guin
