Courage reflects your spirit. It reflects something deep within all of us who would rather defy an authority then go along with something that is morally wrong. Raw courage makes us stand up and speak out in the face of fear...There may be a time when history calls upon you. There may be an injustice that has hurt your friends or fellow citizens. How will you respond? Will you support those who are oppressed?

On Activism:
You have the right to protest for what is right. You know what I say: When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to say something, you have to do something. You have to push, and pull, and be prepared to make a little noise. When you see something that is not the way it should be, don't be afraid. Speak up, speak out, be courageous.

Good trouble is about dramatizing something that needs changing and correcting. My arrests help to raise awareness for the wrongs happening around the world.

What is something that needs fixing in our country? What doesn't sit right in your hearts that moves you to protest in a nonviolent way? What can you do to get into good trouble? There is a light inside of you that will turn on when you get into good trouble.

Been crying at everything lately, but wooooweee. A balm and a sip of courage.

I don’t agree with all his views, but it is still a good read. It may not all survive scrutiny as the years go on, but we all do the best we can.
