Que 🙄🙄🙄🙄moment. This book was really a waste of my fucking time. The writing is awesome! The story content not so much. Barely any relationship development. And the MCs spent way more time apart then they did together. WTF?!! They barely even know anything about each other, so how can they have deep feelings for one another? Great sex does not a real relationship make!

7 yrs is not much of an age gap imo. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

kinda boring. feel like nothing is happening. and that i have read this exact book with these exact characters so many times before😭

So many feelings about this one :). From their meet-cute:

I was still contemplating the dance floor when I saw him sitting at the bar. Muscles encased in a black Henley and jeans, short dark hair not quite military cut. When he turned his head, the sight of that square jaw and uncompromising chin set off a spark of lust all the way through me.

I wondered what color his eyes were. Not that it mattered in the dark.

“Do you really type with just one hand?”

Holden took a deliberate bite of his sandwich. “It’s a skill I’ve developed. Like sleeping on any surface or differentiating gun models by their sound.”

I leaned my elbows on the island and put my chin in my hand. “Can you sleep on any surface?”

“I can sleep sitting right here if you give me a minute.”

I blinked at him. “Really?”

He snorted. “No, not really."

Almost halfway through Ethan's story!

I expected him to pull away but he put a hand on my hip and rested it there. “I’d have to be pretty stupid to throw my career away for a kiss.”

“I don’t see how kissing me is going to make you any less effective in protecting my father.”

“Trust me, kissing you will make me too damn stupid for anything else.”
