Ah, Alan—so precious 🥹

Selby's an interesting character and the worldbuilding... i'm minorly confused but drawing conclusions that this is like... a fantasy world, but with gunslingers and western stuff mixed in? smth like that

first line of thatchers pov had me grinning and i now have a favorite character
'If you'd told me this time last year that my cousin would be named governor of the whole dang Western Territory, I'd have called you loco.'

Even better the 2nd time round. These characters are Legendary

"Sometimes men hold onto their dreams so tight, the dream begins to smother them. But they cannot let it go--it would kill them to let go--so they kill it. Their own dream." ~ Mortimer

Time to return to a saga that's haunted me ever since I 1st read it 2 years ago. Such a fierce-hearted Summer tale 🖤
