i read this already but now i’m reading it out loud during student teaching, so i’m considering it a second read. perhaps even second and third bc i read it to two different classes 🫶🏻

Maisy can be described as a integrationist. This is a result of Melvin's dad telling her how it was very difficult to get a house in the neighborhood they live in because of them being black. This made Maisy mad because she thought it was unfair to have problems to get a house just because of your race."That's not right Maisy exclaimed it's cruel and unfair"(211).This shows how Maisy is a integrationist.
