this book is really for existing fans of the author who are also runners. while this has occasional sparks it's overall quite dull and gives me the impression that perhaps running is quite boring as well. oh! i'm halfway through and it's short so i may as well finish. the insights aren't all that amazing, it's "writing a novel takes endurance like a marathon" and obvious things like that
