I really dislike the idea of any of the Original Five going to school together before they went to the Xavier Institute. It's too convenient. Also, dude, Scott already has the worst life, you don't have to make it worse.

I suppose this is a considerable prologue for the sixties era of the X-Men. It got really dark and weird but I suppose it worked to give the Original Core Five some murkier and violent origins but this interpretation definitely has a dissonance with the much colorful and lighthearted tone of Stan Lee's writing. But I enjoyed this nonetheless. It was substantial enough.

So things are getting intense. This has a nice concept but something feels a bit off reading the delivery. I only have two issues left.
