Status Updates From From a Whisper to a Rallyin...

I don’t read nonfiction very often, but this narrative nonfiction book about the crime that was the catalyst for the Asian American Civil Rights Movement had my full attention. I felt so many mixed emotions while hearing this story and all its complications. I related to how the general public must have felt reading about Vincent Chin in the media. I highly recommend this book. It’s an important history. 5🌟

at this point of the book the officer is explaining how this is the worst case he has seen throughout his life as being an officer when he goes to check out the scene this part really got me into the book more

this was a monumental loss. it genuinely has me wondering how anyone can become a statistic of violence. i think we could fill the sea with tears and memories of people we lose to hate crimes

so at this point of the book its talking about the detriot rebellion and what i find crazy is that haf of detriots white poppulation left leaviung empy buildings behind and right now im getting deeper into the book

i am at the point of the book where chin gets murdered and i like how interesting it got i know theres more to come but what i find sad is that he never got to see his wedding day
