i find myself taking warm deep breaths as i read this book about scents in particular, truly imagining the smells. i'm loving this experience.

so i was learning about synecdoche and metonymy at work today, how to differentiate between the two and then all of a sudden here is this author talking about our noses as a synecdoche of personhood!! but when a perfumer is called a 'nose' it would be a metonymy! i love language so much :' )
