Of course I picked up book 10 of a series I've never heard of before. After some googling I'm really interested in the whole odd book, even book shtick and will probably knock off the rest of the novellas because I enjoy the writing.

I generally enjoy these novellas, some more than others. This is #10, & the opening feels like it won't be a fave but the fantasy component has only just kicked in.
The author always focuses on diversity & representation, but it does feel shoe horned in sometimes. This may also be because the style of writing feels more tween than young adult, so possibly a bit "young" for my palette now. But only 4h audiobook!
