very well researched and posited arguments so far. really tearing into the fact that a lot of the new technology and breakthrough drugs we’ve developed don’t actually provide high value healthcare and a lot of that is actually tied into profits for the manufacturers and the fact that some of the literature we so heavily rely on is damn near manipulated by these companies

I find it annoying as a prescriber who is taught best evidence to look for, but it is skewed by conflicts of interest.Makes practicing medicine even harder. I understand what he says about statins, but in no way I believe doctors do not hold out on information that diet and lifestyle is the most important risk reduction.We live in an extremely lazy society. Patients need to take responsibility for lifestyle habits.
