man forcing decision on woman and then woman goes into deep depression due to horrible trauma. wishing the worst for all the men in this book (shocker)

I’m a bit confused as to where the story will head. Not exactly sure I’m clocking every detail of the plot cause it is a bit choppy. And although I find Didions writing style a bit difficult to understand, I’m having fun reading it!
