starting this in preparation for greta’s narnia adaptation

We just finished The magician’s Nephew and Izzy is hooked! She even earned a free book from Barnes and Noble for her summer reading program and got her own copy of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and will take on some of the read aloud during family read. Gray family read so far!!

Not just me: Noonan, his speech writer, has consistently denied pulling the line from The Chronicles of Narnia, maintaining instead that she had not read the books at the time or that the imagery came to her organically. Critics and literary observers have long noted the coincidence, suggesting it was either an intentional literary allusion by a well-read writer or an unconscious echo of a famous fantasy classic.

I wonder if President Bush got his “Thousand Points of Light” from The Magician’s Nephew book!
